Honors, Awards and Relevant Professional Experience

Dr. Fritsch was given awards for excellence in teaching on four occasions from the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis. He was listed among the “Best Therapists” in the Washingtonian Magazine. He was honored by the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis with its “Contribution to the Mission Award.” Dr. Fritsch served as a Fellow on the Board of Professional Standards of the American Psychoanalytic Association and was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis.

Dr. Fritsch formerly was Director of the Adolescent and Child Division of Chestnut Lodge Hospital. He was on the full time faculty of the George Washington University Psy.D. Program in Clinical Psychology as an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology. He currently is the chair of the Psychoanalytic Education Committee of the International Psychoanalytic Association. Dr. Fritsch has authored or co-authored over 25 published scientific papers and over 50 scholarly presentations.
